Rectus Muscle Surgery Fundamentals
The core moves behind nearly every rectus muscle case, from opening conjunctiva to securing the muscle.
Every rectus muscle operation is built from the same four moves: open the conjunctiva, get the whole muscle cleanly onto a hook, secure and disinsert it, and put it back where you measured. This course takes them in that order. The first two lessons are written notes on incisions and on isolating the muscle. The last two show the same medial rectus recession twice — once from the primary surgeon’s view and once from the assistant’s — because a fornix case is a four-handed operation and both pairs of hands need to know the plan.
Each lesson ends with pitfalls and further reading. The technique described follows the Del Monte and Archer atlas, which is cited by chapter and page throughout.
